Nestled in the heart of Covent Garden, the newest Gaucho location pays tribute to its roots, returning to London after a decade of regional expansion and bringing all the tastes and flavours of modern Argentina to the West End.

Situated in an extension of the Royal Opera House, Gaucho is a vibrant addition to one of London’s most culturally significant areas, offering carbon-neutral steaks, the finest wines, signature Gaucho cocktails, and a variety of other Latin American flavours.

Drawing inspiration from the artistic spaces of Covent Garden and the passion-fueled tango clubs of Buenos Aires, the restaurant is layered with iconic design statements that reflect the cultural roots of the locality, while the base palette draws influence from its Argentinian origins.

The terrace and ground floor of the restaurant boasts a bright and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for breakfast, relaxed working lunches, or afternoon drinks. The basement takes on a darker, more theatrical atmosphere offering a more intimate dining experience for late night dinners and drinks, with pleated curtain wall details inspired by the grand, red-draped stage curtains from the West End Theatres.

The menus are equally impressive, featuring breakfast, lunch, and dinner options with the most premium steak offerings, as well as a wide selection of cocktails and fine wines.

Expect brand new breakfast dishes, an outstanding value weekday set lunch (three courses for £30), and pre- and post-theatre dining, alongside our signature selection of standout 100% carbon neutral steaks from Black-Angus cattle bred at hand-selected farms in Argentina.

The morning menu, which is available daily from 8am to 11.30am, features a host of breakfast staples sprinkled with Argentinian twists such as the halloumi and avocado muffing served with streaks of smoky chipotle BBQ sauce as well as fresh coffee and pastries.

On Sundays, you can escape the mid-day bustle of the city with a relaxing Sunday Roast, paired with some delicious wines. As the sun sets on Friday and Saturday nights, Gaucho’s late nights offer live entertainment alongside a bar menu and make a vibrant addition to the energetic night-time neighbourhood.

Descend the stairs into a hidden world inspired by the tango halls of 1930s Buenos Aries and expect seductive tango performances, vibrant DJ sets, and a speakeasy cocktail bar from 10.30pm. Perfect for post-theatre punters and late-night London revellers, this new subterranean centre for drinking, dining, and dancing is the capital’s hottest new destination to set sights on after sundown.
