Remember when Norman Foster dipped his toe into the waters of superyacht design, raising eyebrows with his new-look YachtPlus creation? Well, those eyebrows are set to shoot up even further as another landlubber architect, Zaha Hadid, follows his example.

Hadid has teamed up with Hamburg shipbuilders Blohm+Voss to create a new range of superyachts, with the design based around her master prototype for a 128-metre craft. The result is five individual 90-metre dazzlers whose look is intended to evoke the organic structural systems that are found in many natural marine formations. Now that’s anything but plain sailing…
