Mother’s Day gifts are a curious category. On the one hand, the brief is simple: find something that says thank you for years of patience, logistical brilliance and emotional diplomacy. On the other, the stakes are surprisingly high. A last-minute bouquet and a box of chocolates will be greeted with a side eye; it’s an occasion when a touch more imagination – and perhaps a little sparkle – feels entirely appropriate.
This is where a properly considered gift comes into its own. The kind that feels personal rather than performative; thoughtful rather than hurried. Jewellery that catches the light just so. A watch with genuine design pedigree. A well-chosen bottle for those moments when the house is finally still.
For our 2026 Mother’s Day Luxury Gift Guide, we’ve assembled a selection that leans unapologetically towards the indulgent end of the spectrum.
Harry Winston
Sparkling Cluster Collection

For more than eight decades, Harry Winston creations have graced society’s great and the good – from Maralyn Monroe to Elizabeth Taylor. These days, you’re most likely to see their creations on the red carpet – the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Natalie Portman, and Charlize Theron have all worn Winston jewellery in front of the cameras.
Surely the mums in our lives deserve just as much glamour?
This spring, the House has debuted a striking addition to its iconic Sparkling Cluster Collection. The latest collection sets rubies and pink sapphires alongside diamonds – a dazzling combination, especially in this pair of earrings.
After all, if anyone has earned a little red-carpet treatment, it’s her.

Fine Scents
Fashionably Late, £180 for 60ml
For some mothers, ‘Fashionably Late’ falls between a personal mantra and a permanent state of being.
Now British fragrance house Fine Scents has bottled this very essence in its latest release.
Developed by world-renowned French master perfumer Dominique Ropion, Fashionably Late is an opulent white floral perfume laced with tuberose and mimosa, with an amber undercurrent.
According to the house, it embodies: “The scent of arrival – heels on marble, silk gliding over skin, a flicker of diamonds in candlelight. Enigmatic. Unforgettable.”
Just remember: on Mother’s Day, they’re always on time – and everyone else is early.

Gucci
Horsebit diamond 18k ring, £1,950
Gucci’s Horsebit motif was born from the brand’s long-standing relationship with the equestrian world. First sketched in a Gucci artisan’s notebook at the end of the 1940s, it has appeared in Gucci accessories and loafer collections since the 1950s.
The first bracelets and watches emerged in the 1970s, followed by a fine jewellery collection in 2004.
Over the past two decades, the latter line continues to evolve with new necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings joining the fold. This diamond ring in 18kt rose gold is a striking interlinked variation of this well-known design.
Ideal for those mothers who would rather be at the stables than the school gates.

Hermès
Cape Cod, £7,510

When Hermès launched the Cape Cod in 1991, it wasn’t trying to make a sports watch or a dress classic. It was being far more Hermès: turning one of its own graphic signatures into a timepiece.
The watch was designed by Henri d’Origny, the designer responsible for several of Hermès’ equestrian motifs. His starting point was the brand’s iconic Chaîne d’Ancre anchor-chain link, originally created in 1938.
Instead of placing that motif on the dial, he abstracted its geometry into the case itself. The result is the Cape Cod’s defining feature: a square dial set within a rectangular case, which has been reimagined in new proportions for 2026.
The only way to beat this gift? With a trip to actual Cape Cod.
