The City has always been a breeding ground for risk takers – just ask Nick Leeson. But come the weekend, that appetite for risk shifts gears, fuelling a pursuit of escape and adventure. That’s precisely why Square Mile created its annual Adventure Issue: to spotlight the places, people and products that elevate everyday life beyond the ordinary.
It’s packed with aspirational tales of adventure and the adventurers bold enough to chase them – from running ultra-marathons across the Namib Desert to diving to the bottom of the Mariana Trench.
Our headline act is somewhat of a risk-taker himself: KSI has dominated YouTube, stormed the charts, and shaken up the sport of boxing. What worlds remain to conquer – and will he ever stop?
This issue of Square Mile also features James Nelson-Joyce, the rising star of A Thousand Blows and Black Mirror; Oxford-educated actor and producer Maisie Richardson-Sellers; and Matthew Goode on his latest Netflix hit Department Q. Plus, we go behind the scenes at Wrexham FC, spend a night in Monaco with boxing impresario Eddie Hearn, and head to Goodwood with F1 legend Sir Jackie Stewart.
Strap in for a hell of an issue…!
