Luxury Swiss watchmaker Breitling is launching a pop-up in Battersea Power Station to celebrate its new Top Time classic cars collection
From 27 May to 4 June, the Breitling Café & Boutique at Battersea Power Station will become a shrine to American muscle cars and the watches they’ve inspired.
Earlier this Spring, Breitling released its latest Top Time Classic Cars collection – horological tributes to the Ford Mustang, Ford Thunderbird, Chevrolet Corvette, and Shelby Cobra.
The new pop-up will comprise lounge areas, arcade games, a photobooth, and a few other surprises.
Throughout the space, mid-century furniture, retro gas pumps that double as fruit machines, tool chest-inspired display cases, old-school helmets and petrol cans will give the feeling that you have walked right into a mechanic’s workshop on an American highway.
The star of the installation is the full collection of Top Time chronograph watches, which will be on show alongside some of the cars themselves.
The pop up will culminate in a speaker series within the cafe featuring influential figures from the world of classic cars.
Gavin Murphy, Breitling’s UK Managing Director, says: “We are excited to welcome visitors to Breitling’s pop up Top Time Garage at Battersea, where we will showcase Breitling’s Top Time classic cars collection and the iconic cars of the 1950s and 1960s. We will also officially open the new Breitling Café, situated within this famous British landmark."
