The coolest boats from the London Boat Show 2016
If hurtling around on the open seas floats your boat, get on over to The London Boat Show – it's where the haves and the have-yachts spend their days ogling some of the world's finest vessels, from gin palaces to superyachts

For the luxury lover
Making its debut at the boat show is the brand new Princess 75 motor yacht, and she's a right beauty. The boat's ingenious design offers efficient, agile cruising, and the deep V-hull has been modified to let you plane at lower speeds. She's a social character too: inside lies a luxurious interior complete with dining table, relaxation areas and a sundeck, plus three en suite guest cabins. We can taste that salty sea air already!

For the big spender
If you really want to make an entrance next time you head into Monaco or Cannes harbour, arriving aboard the spanking new Sunseeker 131 Yacht while clutching a coupe de champagne should do the trick. The mammoth yacht is decked out like a floating palace with decadent furnishings throughout, and comes with a lounge, dining area and full galley. There's enough room to accommodate up to 12 of your mates, who can either spend their time glugging cocktails in the sky lounge at its built-in bar, or catching rays on one of three open sun decks. Decisions, decisions…

For the vintage lover
Wayfarers? Check. Retro swimming costume? Check. Now all you need is the vintage-style boat to finish the look. Channeling the famed classic Aquarama, Riva's Aquariva Super is dedicated to making you look good on the water. There's the polished mahogany and maple interior, then there's the soft leather seats to cushion your derriere as you whip along the water, courtesy of the two 390hp Yanmar engines and speed automatic gearboxes. James Bond, you've got nothing on our ride, mate…

For the diehard sailor
The Sun Odyssey 389 is a yacht for those who take sailing seriously. She's been designed by Marc Lombard, the architect behind the high-performance yachts seen competing in global sailing races, and with her large sail area, she's capable of highly competitive speeds. Whether you're a speed freak or not, though, nothing can beat the feeling of standing at its wheel with the wind making a mess of your hair. Beats sitting in traffic on a Monday morning any day…
