The P3C has proven to be an incredibly versatile foundation for SevenFriday. The watch has taken on a wide range of colourways over its lifecycle. From ice white to carbon red via stainless steel and racing team yellow, there really is a P3C for everyone.

The latest addition – the PC3/08 – is for those dreaming of a summer holiday by the sea. So, everyone then.

A monochrome base of gun metal PVD bezel surrounded by a solid white animation ring is then lifted by a translucent azure blue acetate. This accent colour is the kind of postcard blue you see in holiday brochures – or on the instagram accounts of influencers (but don’t let that put you off).

It’s no coincidence it’s a material more commonly associated with sunglasses construction with watchmaking, as this is a timepiece for the summer.

There are more azure highlights from 40 to 60 minutes, on the applied azure indices at 12, 4, and 8 hours, and as contrast stitching on the stone-grey remborde strap.

With 10ATM of water resistance, it’s also a watch that’s as happy in the sea as beside it. Whether you’re sailing a schooner or learning to kite surf, the P3C/08 is fit for the task.

Under the hood, there’s the workhorse automatic MIYOTA 82S7 movement with a 40-hour power reserve, which is equipped with a screwed-in crown system. White luminous coating on hour and minute hands means you’ll still be able to see when the sun begins to set.

As with all SevenFriday watches, it has an NFC chip for authentication and a three-year warranty that you register through its proprietary App.

Even if you don’t manage to get to a beach this summer, the P3C is sure to bring you a bit of brightness.
