With the launch of the Superman Tourbillon CMM.31, YEMA inaugurates a new era of Millésime Editions – annual releases that showcase the pinnacle of the brand’s watchmaking expertise and in-house capabilities.
‘Millésime’ stands for the very best YEMA can produce: a premium, handcrafted, and highly limited timepiece that embodies the legacy of French horology and the company’s ongoing pursuit of excellence.
For 2025, YEMA selected its most iconic model, the YEMA Superman, a professional dive watch introduced in 1963. Now re-imagined with its Manufacture tourbillon caliber, the Millésime 2025 model combines technical innovation, haute horlogerie finishing, and robust tool-watch specifications – and is limited to just 100 numbered timepieces.
A TOURBILLON BUILT FOR THE DEPTHS

Traditionally, tourbillons are fragile complications destined for dress watches. The CMM.31 caliber, manufactured by YEMA’s team in Morteau, France, breaks this paradigm.
Based on the proven CMM.30 architecture, the CMM.31 introduces refined bridges, polished bevels, and wheel decorations, elevating both technical and aesthetic appeal.
A sweep seconds hand mounted directly on the tourbillon cage, coated with
Super-LumiNova, provides precise underwater readability and ISO 6425 standards compliance.
Engineered with enhanced shock resistance up to 5Gs and a screw-down crown, this Millésime edition is perfectly adapted for a 200m water-resistant professional diver, unlike conventional delicate tourbillons.
This makes the Superman Tourbillon Millésime CMM.31 one of the rarest combinations in watchmaking: a professional tool watch equipped with an in-house French tourbillon built for endurance.
TOOL WATCH REVOLUTION: LUXURY MEETS FUNCTIONALITY
"The Superman Tourbillon CMM.31 has been designed for staying faithful to its historic codes, a true tool watch able to withstand the harshest conditions,” explains Christopher Bôle, CEO and Head of Design at Yema. “This Millésime edition introduces elevated finishing details that distinguish it as a collector’s masterpiece.”
These features include a Grade 5 titanium case and Scales bracelet; a unidirectional dive bezel with domed ceramic insert; a double dome sapphire crystal; and a water resistance to 200 metres. YEMA’s latest in-house tourbillon caliber also boasts four days’ power reserve, not to mention refined bridges and wheel decoration.
“With its tourbillon built for the deep sea, this timepiece combines haute horlogerie finishing with professional dive-watch reliability, making it one of the rare tourbillon watches in the world fully compliant with ISO dive specifications,” says Bôle.
“This unique set of features is uncommon since tourbillon watches are mostly designed as watchmaking art pieces that are delicate in their utilisation. This is one of the rarest tourbillons built for daily use, a luxury timepiece that is as rugged and functional as it is beautiful and refined – a tool watch in the lineage of YEMA watches."
LOCAL PRODUCTION

Over the past few years, YEMA has made significant investments aimed at insourcing a good part of its production, and constantly improving the quality of its manufacturing processes by implementing the latest equipment as well as expanding and modernising its workshops and production lines.
In addition, YEMA now works with new local partners in France and Switzerland within a range of 72km of its workshops, to secure a more responsible and higher quality production.
