Actors' View Shakespeare's Globe
Now one of the most popular theatres in London, Shakespeare’s globe opened in 1997. American actor Sam Wanamaker campaigned for many years for the Globe to be built having been shocked on arriving in London to discover that, apart from a small plaque, there wasn’t a memorial to Shakespeare on the Southbank.
