Fancy some artwork with your aeroplane?

Guests using Heathrow VIP this month and early July will get an exclusive first-look at a collection of 28 artworks by Banksy.

The exhibition is on display for the first time anywhere in the world and features some never-before seen artwork from the celebrated artist.

It marks the fifth anniversary of Heathrow VIP’s partnership with the global art gallery Tanya Baxter Contemporary.

The exhibition will run until 3 July, to coincide with the international art events Art Basel, The Contemporary Art auctions and Olympia fine Art & Masterpiece.

Among the pieces on display will be Love Hurts, featuring a heart-shaped balloon rising above a barbed-wire fence. It's a highly coveted print that has never been made available to the public. Well, it's not called VIP for nothing.

Fraser Brown, Retail Director at Heathrow said: “We are proud to deliver international hospitality with a British twist, and Tanya’s expertise and understanding of how art and travel uniquely combine to deliver a sense of place, elevates our luxury experience to a level unparalleled by other airport VIP services and is a key part of our vision to deliver the best airport service in the world.

"Banksy, the internationally renowned but distinctly British artist, is a perfect fit for Heathrow VIP and we are sure our guests will enjoy this expertly curated collection on their journey with us.”

Tanya Baxter, Director of Tanya Baxter Contemporary said: “Working with Heathrow VIP over the last five years we have curated displays featuring modern British, post-War contemporary and international artists that are recognised as blue-chip artists in art auctions and museums worldwide.

"From Lucian Freud to Tracey Emin and Damian Hirst – the work of prestigious artists has proudly hung in the corridors and suites of Heathrow VIP. This exhibition - showcasing a collection of the most iconic Banksy works – is one of our best yet and documents twenty years of one of the most celebrated and sought-after artists in this world.”
